Build mini apps for DiiL
Bring your web service into the messenger. Users open it in a tap and sign in with their DiiL account.
What DiiL Mini Apps are
A mini app is your own web app, served over HTTPS, that opens inside DiiL in the Apps section. You build it with the web technologies you already use and host it on your own server.
When a user opens your mini app, DiiL passes it signed launch data: who the user is (ID, display name, @username and avatar). Your server checks the signature with your app's secret, so you know who you are talking to without asking the user to log in.
How it works
Signed launch data
Every launch includes a signed snapshot of the user. Verify it on your server and start a session — no passwords, no extra screens.
Sign in with DiiL
Need more, like a phone number or email? Request it through Sign in with DiiL. The user sees exactly what you ask for and decides whether to share it.
Reviewed before release
Every mini app and every new version is reviewed before users see it. Until approval, only you can open your app, so you can test it safely.
How to submit a mini app
Mini apps are submitted only from the DiiL app, in For business → My apps. There is no separate web portal.
To become a developer you need:
- a DiiL account with a verified phone number and a verified email address;
- to be at least 18 years old;
- to accept the Developer Agreement in the app.
You can have up to five mini apps. Each one gets its own credentials when you create it; keep the secret on your server.
For questions, use the support form in the DiiL app: Profile → Support.
Read the Developer Agreement
It covers review, platform rules, prohibited content and how you handle user data.
